Leeds Pétanque Club is affiliated to Pétanque England and was opened in May 2006 following extensive work by our first Chairman, Nigel Clay.
The original terrain was located at Richmond House School, but following significant growth the club relocated to a purpose-built terrain in Kirkstall in June 2023.
The club maintains a membership of between 20 and 30 players, all of varying ability and experience levels.

We have informal play every Tuesday evening (summer only), Wednesday afternoon, and Sunday morning. In addition, we also arrange regular club competitions.
A number of our members take part in local leagues and even play at regional and national level!
We welcome newcomers as well as experienced players and visitors from around the area. If you don’t have boules – no problem – we can lend you some to get started!
In summer 2023 the club collaborated with Unsung Sports, celebrating some of the lesser-knows sports in the Leeds area. Why not see what some of our members have to say?
