Dates for your Diary

Sunday 14th January, 11.00am – Melée with Huddersfield

We have invited Huddersfield Pétanque Club to come over and participate in a friendly melée. We will be mixing players of all abilities from both teams, and this is an opportunity to meet and play with some new people in the spirit of friendly competition. Depending on numbers there will be opportunities for doubles and triples matches. Retiring to the pub afterwards will be an optional additional feature. In order to get a sense of possible numbers, if you could let Paul know you are interested that would be helpful (in a non-contractually binding way!).

Sunday 21st January, 11.00am – Club Melée

Come and join other club members for an informal competition and the chance to claim the first trophy of 2024!

Festive Play

Seasons greetings to you all!

For those of you who are free and fancy a bit of fresh air and exercise, we will be adding a few extra play dates over the Christmas period. As well as the normal 2pm on Wednesday and 11am on Sundays, which will continue throughout (weather and general hardiness permitting), we are also meeting at 11am on Boxing Day and on New Year’s Day. Feel free to join in, Christmas jumpers and tinsel are optional decorative features for these sessions.

We’ve moved!

As many of you will be aware there’s been a search for a new playing terrain for a significant time. Now, after much hard work, we are moving to the new venue! Many thanks to Paul, Chris P and Charles for their work/meeting etc in getting the new terrain organised, and thanks to those who turned up and helped build the new terrain.

The first session at the new terrain will be this Sunday 2nd July at 12 noon.

Club sessions will be:
– Tuesdays: 6pm (summer only)
– Wednesday: 2pm
– Sundays: 11am

The new terrain is located in Kirkstall, just off Abbey Road (A65) next to the Vesper Gate Pub. Please park in the Kirkstall Abbey Car Park and walk across to the terrain.
